Learn how to glide on a boat-drawn board
Wakeboarding emerged in the 80's as a water sport using the techniques of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing.
Towed on a board behind a motorboat (or on a cable in a wakepark), we find the sensations of gliding comparable to kiting, surfing, windsurfing, snow or even skateboarding.
How the courses are organized
At Monki, you will be towed behind the motorboat on a twintip, a surfkite or kitefoil board.
The wakeboard is an educational tool used in the teaching of kitesurfing.
The wakeboard allows you to fully live your first sensations of sliding on a kite board and to progress in the learning of waterstart by ignoring the kitesurfing kite.
By dissociating the learning of the kite and the mastery of the board, we have the possibility to modulate the learning process, to work in detail this important step that is waterstart without having to take into account your level of mastery of the kite.
Kite control takes time...and patience.
With wakeboarding, you can focus solely on the waterstart, your position on the board, and how you glide through the water.
And on top of that, great advantage, we are less dependent on the weather conditions!
WAKEBOARD COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
Why don't you get on the foil? How about you try the Tiki or Kilaia style?
Wakeboarding is a great way to test and learn a new support: a foil board, a strapless surf, a tiki...
If you want to speed up the learning process, towing may be the right solution.
Less dependent on the wind, instant advice, intensive and shorter teaching, these are some of the advantages of this learning tool.
WAKEBOARD COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
Off / high season
30 minutes, i.e. 2 sessions of 15 minutes each.
Tailor made
WAKEBOARD COURSES AND WORKSHOPS
Enjoy 2 sessions of 15 minutes of gliding.
As wakeboarding at Monki is practiced with a kiteboard, you need to have a little strength in your arms. Enjoy this activity from 11 years old.
The wakeboard activity allows you to learn how to glide on the water.
For children's lessons, we use large boards to make the start easier.
To avoid pulling too much on the little arms, a babywake structure is used to fix the board. All that's left to do is enjoy the ride.
The wakeboard by Monki is practiced in groups of 6 people max.
